So here's something I figured out just a second ago while trying to create zoom lines for panel borders (i.e. manga/comic books zoom line effect thingy.) I didn't get the result I was looking for, but none the less found a useful method of producing a "burst of light" effect. I thought it was worth sharing. Full view is required to see the tutorial. Please comment, let me know what you think.
I'm trying to find a way to make zoom lines for my newest WiP. Not exactly what I'm looking for, but I like this trick. Thanks.

Feel free to use it.
